Fancy Some Fish & Chips?
by Marlon and Monica Fernandes
While driving on International Drive in Orlando, we decided to stop for a quick bite at Gordon Ramsay’s Fish & Chips. Located in the center of Icon Park, the restaurant was a quick walk from the parking garage and, with its themed exterior, easy to find. The restaurant is small and simple, but clean with a great atmosphere and selection of music by British artists playing in the background. There were a few counter seats inside but most of the seating was outdoors. The menu was simple with a selection of fried seafood and chicken options with a choice of 6 sauces, chips (aka fries) both plain and “dirty”, shakes, beer and wine.
We decided to share the fish combo which came with 3 pieces of crispy cod, natural sea salt chips, and a choice of two sauces. There are a few different choices when it comes to the sauces including Gordon's Signature Tartar, Curry & Mango, Sriracha Aïoli, Southwest Ranch, Dijon Mayonnaise and Cocktail. We decided on Gordon's Signature Tartar and the Sriracha Aïoli. The fish was delicious, it was light and fluffy and the chips were nice and crisp, but a bit too salty. The sauces were flavorful, especially the Sriracha Aïoli that had just the right amount of spice.
The service was fast and friendly and the food was hot, fresh and ready in less than 10 minutes. For $14.99 it was a great price for what you get. I would suggest giving Gordon Ramsay’s Fish & Chips a try if you're in the area. It’s a great place for a quick bite in a great location.
